What’s The Mad House?
The Mad House is a hypothetical hostel and bar designed to exist in Philadelphia, PA. It has the safety and secure nature of a hotel, while having the community-focused and amiable spirt of a hostel. The Mad House’s mission is to provide an electric, funky atmosphere that fosters social interaction among adventure seeking 22-35 year-old travelers and Philadelphia locals.
My role
My primary objective of the project was to design a brand and identity system for The Mad House that supports the bold, cheeky, and inviting atmosphere of the hostel and bar. It was important that all of the various forms of branded collateral and materials created for this project formed a cohesive identity system, without seeming overly predictable. I strived for the brand to feel playful and bold, yet refined.
